I’ve learned a great deal about living life from my folks, and we’re extremely lucky to be celebrating their 60 years together this year.

This poem sums up those that preceded it. It’s also probably the last one that in any real way focused on HIV. Though the disease is still very present, it feels less immediately threatening (I know that’s not particularly PC, but it is my reality).

I had the sweet pleasure of reading this at a party celebrating my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary.

This was one of the few efforts where I abandoned rhyme. I found after a while that I missed it, missed the structure and challenge.

As this says, “who writes thes things is another who than me, if I let the light through.” That’s where this conversation about change and truth came from.
