A routine test revealed a possible problem with Mark’s heart. We didn’t know how serious, but I tend to go right to the worst case scenario, and then work my way back. The vows, of course, refer to those in our commitment ceremony.
I was much cheered by Obama’s election, by the promise of “change you can believe in”. More important, though, was the seeming populist awakening that his candidacy represented–an awakening of individual and collective responsibility and I consider essential.
