Jerry Chasen’s professional background has been as an attorney focusing on estate planning. He has a Master’s degree in estate planning from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was also on the adjunct faculty in the graduate estate planning and taxation programs. (Additional background data)
He is also the director of The Advisors Project ("TAP"), a pro-bono initiative of his law firm. TAP encourages professional advisers to create client relationships that are most satisfying to clients, and also are advantageous for philanthropy. As it turns out, those relationships generally include an exploration of values, interests, and passions. As Jerry incorporated these skills and qualities into his law practice, he became increasingly interested in supporting clients in planning their lives, not just their estates.
That led him to training as a professional coach with The College of Executive Coaching, a graduate level program, which certified him as a coach, and prepared him for being credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation. He is also a certified coach in The Thinking Environment.
Jerry is also an accomplished poet, hiker, and photographer.
